Great hotel, excellent location for the Convention Center, not too far from the French Quarter. The hotel has a Starbucks, bar and restaurant all of which are next to the lobby. Helpful staff and everything you might expect from an upper end Marriott hotel. Among the best hotels in New Orleans based on my experience over several decades. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here Feb. 2010 during Carnival and Super Bowl time. Staff was friendly.- but not real knowledgeable about dining options. Hotel and rooms were clean.Bathroom towels alittle thin. However there are clubs across the street that stay open till the wee hours of the night. We were awakened every night from the crowd spilling into the street at 3am. Ask for a room away from Commerce St or the back of the hotel.Less late night street noise. Good walk to the French Quarter or a $* cab ride. Restaurant is only open for breakfast but only a 3 block walk to Mother's Restaurant.Two block walk to Emeril's. Price was exceptional given the time of year.

The Marriott Convention Center in NOLA was great. Everything is new. The rooms are very crisp and clean -- even the carpets. I love the comforters on the beds -- fluffy & warm. Our room was ready for an early check-in (11:30 am). Free parking was abundant ourside the rear entrance of the hotel, saving us a lot of money in parking fees. We are Starbucks fans and loved having a Starbucks store right in the lobby. Only had a minor problem in getting a roll-away. It took 4 requests, the first request @ 11:30 am, and it was not delivered until 10:30 pm. But otherwise, it was absolutely GREAT.

The room was smaller than anticipated but was clean and well appointed. It's close proximity to the convention center was fantastic. I have already made plans to stay there next year. Everyone on staff was friendly and extremely helpful. No negatives whatsoever.
